I have played and reviewed lots of horror slot games as they tend to be my favourites from a theme point of view. Despite being released back in 2018, Zombie Circus has only recently come to my attention and it has a lot to offer, so let’s get straight into the nitty gritty of it.
A very high RTP mixed with a zombie theme and maximum volatility are the big positives of Zombie Circus from Relax Gaming. Played on a 5×3 grid with 10 paylines, Zombie Circus does not quite have all of the different revolving reels and rows and unlimited paylines of some of the more modern slot games. However, it makes up for this by having a thoroughly enjoyable bonus game as well as being very easy to play.

The Zombie Circus slots RTP is 96.92% – making it well above average. High RTP slots are usually recommend by me because they give good value for money. Of course, the return to player is not the only factor you should take into account, which brings me to the features of Zombie Circus.
There are not too many features, the main one being the free spins bonus game. During my time playing Zombie Circus, I was playing for £0.50 per spin for around five minutes before I triggered the bonus game. Upon triggering the game, you are required to select two of several different spooky zombie characters who will reward you firstly with a number of free spins. The second zombie you select will choose a symbol which will convert into an extra wild symbol for the duration of the bonus game. I won 10 free spins and managed to collect a £9 win during the bonus game. Although the winnings were small, it is a fun bonus game to play.

ZOMBIE CIRCUS MAX PAYOUTS
Zombie Circus slot pays out a maximum of 500x, this isn’t too bad but it is certainly far away from the best payout slots. With that being said, it is still possible to trigger payouts given that the maximum bet is £100 per spin.
The highest paying symbol is the blood spattered lady who will pay 40x the stake if you match five on a payline.
STRATEGIES FOR PLAYING ZOMBIE CIRCUS
I was betting £0.50 per spin whilst playing and I managed to trigger the free spins round within five minutes of playtime. Although I only managed to win £9, I do think I was unlucky given that Zombie Circus is a high variance slot.
Overall, I think the strategy you utilise should depend on your bankroll. If you do not have a lot of money to win or lose then you should bet smaller. On the other hand, if you have a large bankroll then you can be less cautious.
