A truly unique slot and the most fun I have had playing a slot for months, Thoro is brilliant and has only two downsides.
Thanks to the slot games respin symbols, Thoro symbol, Mjolnir, lightning symbols and the corresponding lightning paytable, there is something happening with each and every spin. ELK Studios have created a fantastic slot here and in this Thoro slot review, the SlotsHawk team explain everything you need to know about this slot and why we recommend playing it.
THORO: FIRST IMPRESSIONS
When we first started playing, we did not really know what to expect and it actually took a few minutes for us to activate Thoro and the slots Lightning Paytable, but when we did, boy did we begin to have some fun.
At first it was a little frustrating, as to hit a good win on the paytable, you need to be hitting at least five lightning symbols or more, and we were usually just matching four symbols for a measly 2x win. However, we soon started to find our feet and after about 18 minutes of gameplay (which you can watch in the video above) we hit eight lightning symbols and a 50x win!
Following on from that, we managed to increase the multipliers on the paytable which meant that just five Lightning symbols netted us a 20x win. In all honesty, we could have kept playing this slot for much longer, and that’s not something we say often here at SlotsHawk.
After our 28 minute session, we finished with a net loss of £10.98 but we had a huge amount of fun.
THORO SLOT FEATURES
The features complement each other very well in Thoro and we have to give credit to ELK Studios for that. They have created an impressive slot game, but one of the aforementioned downsides being that the Lightning Symbols do not appear on the 5th reel.
LIGHTNING PAYTABLE AND SYMBOLS
The way to hitting the biggest multipliers in Thoro is via the Lightning paytable. If you hit four or more lightning symbols on the reels, then you will be guaranteed a multiplier starting from 2x going up to 5x, 10x and all the way to the max win of 10,000x.
THORO WILD SYMBOL AND THORO THUNDERSTRIKE
The Thoro wild symbol is a sticky, Walking Wild and increasing your chances of hitting more lightning symbols. Thoro moves across the reels giving repsins as he does so. Every time you hit a Lightning Symbol, it gets locked into place. If Thoro gets his Mjolnir, then he will increase the multipliers too.
LOKI REPSINS
Two or more Loki symbols on the reels triggers a repsin. Loki also combines with Thoro to trigger the Thoro Thunder Strike feature in which the symbols between Thoro and Loko will become Wild symbols.

THORO RETURN TO PLAYER (RTP) AND MAXIMUM PAYOUTS
The second downside to Thoro is its low RTP of just 94%. If the RTP here was 96% then Thoro wold have been one of SlotsHawk’s greatest slots of all time.
On the other hand, the maximum payout of 10,000x is well-above average and is certainly an upside.
STRATEGIES WHEN PLAYING THORO FOR REAL MONEY
Thoro is a roller-coaster of a slot game with lots of excitement and plenty of wins. You should bet whatever you are comfortable with, but we think high rollers will love this one thanks to the games Lightning paytable.
