BOOK OF 99: FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Straightaway the graphics reveal the Greek myth theme to Book of 99, the Cyclops symbol makes it especially obvious. There are two main ways to trigger the free spins bonus game in Book of 99. The easiest is by matching three scatter symbols on the reels, these are the book symbols. The second way is by collecting a total of 99 scatter symbols which are added up on the left hand side in the Collection feature.
When we played Book of 99 for real money (which you can watch in the YouTube video above), we triggered two bonus rounds, so if your plan is to fill the Collection meter, it is likely that during that time you will play several bonus games before reaching the 99. Despite triggering a total of 20 free spins, unfortunately we only managed to win just over £16 across both games whilst betting 50p per spin.
After around 10 minutes of gameplay, we did lose £20 overall. We liked the fact that the bonus game was fairly easy to trigger. However, we disliked how hard it was to trigger bigger wins. We never won more than £4 from a single spin which is an 8x multiplier.
