80S POP: FIRST IMPRESSIONS
On first glance 80s Pop slot looks like a simple game played on a 5×3 grid, but as soon as you begin to play you will see that there is a lot more to this slot game than meets the eye.
We began by betting 30p per spin (the minimum bet is 20p and the maximum bet is £5) and we quickly realised that if you hit a win, the reels and rows will begin expanding.
The grid can expand up to 5×8 with up to 57,344 paylines. In addition, if you manage to hit the bonus game – which is triggered by increasing the reels to six symbols high in the base game – then you will be able to utilise the free spins multiplier. Each winning round in the bonus game will increase the multiplier by one, and as you can see in our playthrough above, we increased this up to 8x.
We triggered the bonus game and hit a win of over 500x! During our 15 minute playthrough, we did only trigger the bonus game once though and that is where all of our wins came from. We will say that the big wins will only really occur during the free spins.

POPWINS
The paylines are known as Popwins. After each win, the winning symbols are removed and replaced by two new symbols, increasing the height of the reels. This continues to be repeated as long as there are more wins.
In the base game, the reels can expand up to 6 symbols tall. If you hit a win whilst the reels are six symbols tall, you will trigger bonus spins. In addition, once the height is six symbols tall, the multiplier will increase to 2x. If the bonus game is triggered, the 2x multiplier will transfer over to the bonus game.
