NoLimit City are back with another of their weird, wacky and gratifying slot game, Stockholm Syndrome. What can you expect? Well, certainly the usual ‘insane’ volatility as well as different free spins features, an Avalanche feature and much more.
STOCKHOLM SYNDROME: FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The SlotsHawk team loaded £30 onto our All British Casino account in order to play Stockholm Syndrome for real money. As you can see in the video above and via the SlotsHawk YouTube channel, we did not have a lot of joy with our spins. We were betting 20p per spin but also utilising the Cam Bet feature in order to guarantee one scatter symbol on the last reel for an extra 10p per bet. The scatter symbols are very rare, but a few times we did manage to land another on the reels giving us two. When this happens, the Stockholm Syndrome symbol will spin in order to try to land a third scatter. Unfortunately, we never managed to trigger the bonus.
In our experience of playing previous NoLimit City slots, you do need a bank roll of at least £100 as most of these slots take a long time before you trigger any of the bonus games. Overall, our biggest win when playing was about £2 and the majority of our spins ended up without triggering anything. We are sure there is a fun game in there somewhere, but overall we would recommend playing other extreme variance slots such as Outsourced.
STOCKHOLM SYNDROME SLOT FEATURES

AVALANCHE
A common feature in plenty of slots in 2024, the Avalanche feature ensures that winning symbols explode and are then replaced by new symbols, offering the opportunity for unlimited wins.
CON MAN WILD
Triggered when the Con Man Wild fully lands on reel 3, the bottom position on reel 3 is unlocked. A random character symbol will be chosen and all of its instances will be transformed to wild.
CAMBET
At the cost of an extra 10p per spin, you are guaranteed one scatter symbol on the last reel.
XBOMB WILD
An xBomb wild symbol substitutes for any symbol except Scatter symbols. An exploding xBomb in the main game removes adjacent symbols and and increases the win multiplier by one for the next collapse.
POLIS FEATURE
Triggered only in the main game when POLIS symbols land in the same row in the correct order of spelling. The first four positions will receive locked coin values with random multipliers of either 5x, 10x, 25x, 100x, 250x, 1,000x, 5,000x or a max win symbol. The fifth position can get up to three keys. All the unlocked values will be added and multiplied to the base bet for a total win.
SOS FEATURE
Triggered when SOS lands on the same row in the correct order of spelling. The symbol O will be transformed into the xBomb wild. This feature will only trigger in the main game if there is no win or avalanche. In the bonus mode, it will always trigger.
P**S FEATURE
Triggered when P**S lands on the same row in the correct order of spelling. All of the symbols will be transformed into xBomb Wilds. This feature will only trigger in the main game if there is no win or avalanche. In the bonus mode, it will always trigger.
RESPINS
Landing two scatters with no avalanche will trigger a repsin on the bottom position of reel 3 in order to give you the opportunity to land a third scatter.
HOSTAGE SPINS
As always, if you land three scatter symbols in the base game, you will trigger the excellent Hostage free spins bonus game and the bottom position on reel 3 is unlocked. During this game, every time a Con Man Wild lands, the multiplier will be increased by one and a character symbol will be chosen and upgraded to the highest possible paying symbol.
The first time a Con Man Wild symbol lands, it will choose the lowest paying symbol, the second time it will be the second lowest paying symbol and so on. Landing a Con Man Wild will also give you +1 spin. xBomb multipliers are also sticky throughout the entirety of the Hostage Spins. A scatter symbol will also reward +1 extra spin.
SYNDROME SPINS
If you land four scatter symbols in the base game you will trigger eight Syndrome Spins. The reel setup here will change to a 3-4-4-4-4-4-3 grid. Con Man Wild’s can land on reels three and four.
Character symbols will be collected from 4 middle reels only when Con Man Wild lands. Character symbols will be collected twice in case of 2 Con Man Wilds. Collect meter can go beyond 5, when all collect meters are full – Syndrome feature will be triggered making the middle reels special.
